Bioactive compounds are produced by plants to help the plant be more resilient and healthy, and can have similar effects on our cells and tissues.

Specifically peony is packed with polyphenols, a bio-active compound that helps prevent inflammatory processes, making it great for eczema prone skin.

We utilise a range of additional bioactives to target specific skincare needs including:

  • Hyaluronic acid - used in our Peony Toner Serum to hydrate and plump skin
  • Vitamin E - used in our Peony Lotion to combat the effects of free radicals and reduce UV damage
  • Borage seed oil - used in our Moisturiser to increase skin softness, reduce wrinkles and delay skin aging
